A multi building Hotel complex named after the ancient city of Hydramia, is situated on the beach of Kavros, near by the village of Georgioupolis, at 95 kms from the Heraklion International Airport, at 55 kms from the International Airport of Chania and a short drive from points of natural beauty on the western part of the Island.
At only 16 kms east from the hotel the town of Rethymno offers a huge variety of shops able to satisfy even the most demanding customers. A variety of bars, restaurants and taverns, plus a multitude of discos and nightclubs are taking care of your evening entertainment. It is interesting to pay a visit to the Venetian Fortress as well to the old part of the city with its beautiful narrow streets.
On the west at 40 kms is the picturesque town of Chania with its beautiful port filled with a large variety of outdoor Cafe and Fish Restaurants, together with a very animated shopping area at the old part of the town.

My wife and I got the impression that we were economically saved this year, and we've been in this hotel twice already. If the attitude does not change, then next year we will not come. | MikhaiWed 01 Aug, 2018 | Great hotelWe have been in the hotel from 18th until 29th of July 2018 with two kids (1.5 and 3.5 years old). Here is my long review which, I hope, will be useful for other guests. First of all, I highly recommend this hotel. Honestly, it was one of the best vacation ever. I was a bit nervous because of some negative reviews, but really, don't believe them. So, why I liked it: 1) Just great food with a wide choice. I think only breakfast is similar every day, but otherwise it is all different and very delicious. Also, you can find a lot of snacks in the pool bar starting from 11 am and, apparently, don't even need to go to the lunch. 2) Very efficient staff and service itself. Every problem was solved in like half an hour. I haven't met such a fast service so far. 3) Very friendly and helpful staff. 4) Tidy and clean area 5) The great, just great management of everything. For example, you always can find the places around the pool or on the beach. We haven't seen any broken daybeds, umbrellas (and it is all for free, of course). Even though I really very much liked this hotel, just a few things which can be improved, but it didn't affect our stay there. 1) I think that safe box can be made for free or maybe it can be included in the price. I was a bit surprised that they are actually in the rooms, but not possible to use until I will pay. 2) Cleaning in the room can be improved. It is OK in general, but a few times when we came back to the room, the floor was literally wet. For sure, not very safe for kids. Also, very often we miss shampoo bottles even though cleaning lady always brought a lot of shower gels. 3) Beach is mainly stony with some small areas of sands, but it wasn't the problem for us even with kids. 4) Most of the waiters always helped us to bring a baby chair, but still some of them sometimes were just staying even though their boss always did it. Not a big deal, of course, but still it would be more pleasant. 5) We asked once to organize take away lunch because we were going to skip it, but we were said that all orders are taken before 20.00 and and it was already 21 with something. I think this information can be provided during the check-in. At least, no one informed us about it. Finally, we try never to visit the same hotels where we've been, but I feel that this one will be an exception. At least, if we would go to Crete again, for 100% we will choose you! Also, big thanks to Lefteris who answered all of my emails before the arrival, organized the dinner after 21 and, in general, provided everything which I asked for. We did not really like the buffet which was not up to the level of a resort like this one; only too little choice of foods and the quality was not really at the best. Overall services, facilities were very good... there was a lot of variety in the food.... most of the staff members were very friendly and helpful... only the reception guy appeared bit rude sometimes . Only negative for me is - There were few fraud transactions done with my credit card just few hours after we checked out after settling the bills with the same credit card. And that was the first time I had used my card since a week. I had text alerts activated for my card, hence could stop the transactions..... so be CAREFUL | 5 |

Myself and my son arrived after 9pm, we received a warm welcome and the nice guy on reception went through the basics and told me we could leave the boring paperwork for another as first 'I was to get some vacation!' We were escorted to the room which was immaculate and spacious. Inside the fridge they had put us up some salads as we had missed the evening meal (very much needed) All the staff were great, speaking a number of languages as the hotel attracts a number of different nationalities. Food choices were excellent, drinks were plentiful and entertainment was there but not in your face. Less than an hour from the airport and with a small village within 15 mins and a much bigger town within 30 there is plenty of things to do, not that you'll need to leave the resort.
